Richard Madeley accused Transport Secretary Mark Harper of not answering a “simple” query on whether or not Lee Anderson’s feedback about London Mayor Sadiq Khan had been Islamophobic in a heated trade on Good Morning Britain on Monday (26 February).
Mr Anderson had the Conservative whip eliminated over the weekend after he claimed that “Islamists” have “got control” of the London mayor.
Mr Madeley requested Mr Harper a number of instances if Mr Anderson’s claims had been Islamophobic, however the MP wouldn’t give a straight reply.
Mr Madeley requested: “Was it Islamophobic, straight answer, yes or no?
“I am giving you an opportunity to answer a straight question.
“Would you just answer?”
