The University of Wisconsin-Madison would be required to admit all high faculty college students who end within the prime 5% of their class, and different campuses would need to admit these within the prime 10%, under a bill handed Tuesday by the state Senate that is half of a deal reached between the Legislature and college.

The deal struck in December additionally limits variety positions on the system’s two dozen campuses in change for cash to cowl employees raises and development initiatives.
