About 400 kids go to the three schools, with an extra 1,500 pupils attending close by Hellesdon High School.

Parents describe the college run as a “nightmare” and say they desperately want a chosen automotive park.

One parent, who was noticed by the BBC parking illegally, mentioned: “I’ve got to get my kids, so I either risk it or my kids get cold and wet.

“If they gave me an alternative choice, I would not have to fret concerning the dangers would I?”

Sara Caetano, whose child goes to Kinsale Infant School, added: “Obviously the automotive park on the college is just too small so I do not know what else they might do.”

Some mother and father criticised others for not strolling or biking their kids to high school, particularly in the event that they lived close by.
