A man shot his partner in the head at their dwelling in Leicestershire and claimed to police that her accidents had been brought on by a pool cue.

Richard Basson was discovered responsible of murdering Carrie Slater on 21 September final yr after he used a self-loading pistol to shoot her in their bed room.
