Two kittens ‘openly’ stolen from cages at Florida animal shelter

Two lovely underage kittens that had been “catnipped” at a Florida Humane Society had been returned safely after they had been snatched from their cages.

According to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, two kittens — named Mitch and Marcus — had been “brazenly stolen” from their cages in an “off-limits” space of the shelter on Thursday.

The shelter stated that Mitch and Marcus had been positioned within the kitten nursery since they had been underage and weak.

Photos from the brazen theft confirmed a younger man and girl getting into the shelter and shoved the kittens of their backpack earlier than taking off.

The Humane Society of Tampa Bay stated that with the assistance of the Tampa Bay group and the Tampa Police Department, Mitch and Marcus had been returned.

The group stated that Sgt. Scott Savitt, supervisor of the District 1 Detective Squad, and Detective Jodie Maxim, together with one other TPD officer, went out of their approach after receiving ideas from the group to retrieve the kittens.

After the kittens had been returned to their cozy cages, they had been examined and deemed wholesome.

“After examination, the kittens are healthy and doing well! You are all our heroes!” the shelter stated.
