A grieving mom who lost her husband and son in Titanic sub disaster has shared her heartbreaking remaining moments with them.

Christine Dawood, 48, spoke of the tragedy as she remembers her husband Shahzada Dawood, 48, and son Suleman Dawood, 19, who could be turning 20 this Monday.

Last June, her adventurous relations set aboard the Titan submersible whose mission was to journey to 13,000 ft under the floor to discover the Titanic wreckage within the Atlantic Ocean.

However, simply 45 minutes into the voyage, catastrophe struck when the submersible lost contact with the floor ship, the Polar Prince, round 900 miles east of Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Four frantic days unfolded as a search and rescue mission tried to find the submersible.

But Ms Dawood’s worst fears have been confirmed when the US coast guard found the 5 crew members had died in a catastrophic implosion on 22 June.

The outstanding enterprise man and his son, who was finding out a Business diploma at Strathclyde University in Glasgow have been joined by French nationwide Paul-Henri Nargeolet and OceanGate Expeditions chief government Stockton Rush on the underwater expedition.

“I turned to her and said: ‘I’m a widow now.’ She said: ‘Yes, and I’m a single child.’ Then we cried even more.”

Ms Dawood defined how she was alleged to go on the Titanic Submersible journey however after Covid delays, when her son Suleman turned 18 he was keen to hitch his father.
