‘Quiet on Set’ directors say they were ‘clear’ with participants after Marc Summers’ ‘ambush’ allegation

“Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” co-directors are standing agency in saying they knowledgeable participants of what they were entering into.

Mary Robertson and Emma Schwartz issued an announcement to Fox News Digital on Friday after the previous “Double Dare” host Marc Summers claimed he was “ambushed” by the documentary directors.

“We are clear with each participant about the nature of our projects,” Robertson and Schwartz mentioned.

The co-directors’ assertion comes after Summers was a visitor on “The Elvis Duran Show,” the place he alleged that he was not knowledgeable on the character of the documentary previous to signing on.

“They ambushed me,” Summers mentioned. “They never told me what this documentary was really about. And so, they showed me a video of something that I couldn’t believe was on Nickelodeon and I said, ‘Whoa, let’s stop the tape right here. What are we doing?'”

Summers mentioned that is when the character of the documentary was revealed – together with allegations in opposition to Dan Schneider whereas he ran the community and Drake Bell detailing his sexual abuse from Brian Peck.

Peck was convicted of a lewd act in opposition to a toddler and oral copulation of an individual underneath 16 in 2003. He spent 16 months in jail.

Summers decided to walk away from the documentary.

“I acquired a cellphone name about six weeks in the past saying, ‘You’re completely out of the present’ and I went, nice,” he said. “Then, they referred to as me about 4 weeks in the past and mentioned, ‘Well, you’re in it, however you’re solely within the first a part of it since you talked in regards to the constructive stuff about Nickelodeon.'”

Summers said he was “lied” to and that the moment when he was “ambushed” on camera is in the documentary.
