Democrats on the House Oversight Committee are having businessman Lev Parnas, a former associate of Rudy Giuliani’s, come to Capitol Hill to take part within the second impeachment inquiry hearing into President Biden on Wednesday.
The Oversight Committee’s GOP majority is investigating accusations that Biden and his household enriched themselves utilizing his political connections, notably when he was vice chairman.

Parnas beforehand claimed that he labored with Giuliani in his effort to stress Ukrainian officers to announce an investigation into the Biden household within the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election. In June 2022, he was sentenced to twenty months in jail for expenses linked to soliciting international cash for U.S. elections, wire fraud, and making false statements, amongst others. U.S. Attorney Damian Williams had accused him of “pumping Russian money into U.S. elections and lying about the source of funds for political contributions.”
Parnas goes to be joined on the Wednesday hearing by former enterprise associates of Hunter Biden, whose international enterprise dealings are a specific concern to GOP investigators. Republicans on the Oversight Committee identified that Parnas was discovered responsible of mendacity and mentioned it was “telling” Democrats didn’t invite an associate of the Bidens.

Fox News Digital beforehand reported that Democrats had been contemplating inviting Michael Cohen, former President Trump’s ex-lawyer, in a bid to focus the eye on Trump’s personal international enterprise dealings.
