Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, stated Sunday Democrats’ accusations that Texas allowed migrants trying to cross the southern border into the U.S. to drown in the Rio Grande by stopping Border Patrol from accessing the river are inaccurate.
Federal officers and U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, claimed the state was answerable for the deaths of three migrants – a lady and two youngsters – on Friday after purporting that the Texas Military Department had denied Border Patrol entry to the realm to assist six migrants in misery.
“This is a tragedy, and the State bears responsibility,” Cuellar stated in an announcement.
