The Ugandan woman who gave delivery to twins at the age of 70 by way of in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) shared the first photos of her babies after being discharged from the hospital.
In late November at Women’s Hospital International and Fertility Centre (WHI&FC) in Uganda, Safina Namukwaya welcomed twins, a son and a daughter. On 6 January, the mom of three introduced her son and daughter dwelling for the first time. When the twins have been born on 29 November, native Ugandan outlet NTV Uganda introduced: “Mother and babies are all well,” saying that each of the twins weighed 3 lbs, 7 oz. They reportedly now weigh greater than 5 kilos every.
The hospital congratulated her, saying it’s greater than a “medical success; it’s about the strength and resilience of the human spirit,” the BBC reported. Before giving delivery to her twins, she beforehand gave delivery at age 66 in 2020 to a daughter, who is now three years outdated.“Some households will be helping me with washing and the babies because of my advanced age,” she advised Today.
