Former first woman Melania Trump introduced the passing of her mom, Amalija Knavs, on Tuesday.
“It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved mother, Amalija,” the previous first woman wrote in a X submit.
Trump referred to as her mom “strong” and “entirely devoted” to her household.
“Amalija Knavs was a strong woman who always carried herself with grace, warmth, and dignity,” Trump wrote. “She was totally dedicated to her husband, daughters, grandson, and son-in-law.”
“We will miss her beyond measure and continue to honor and love her legacy,” she added.

The information comes after former President Donald Trump stated that Knavs was “very ill” at his New Year’s Eve’s celebration at his dwelling in South Florida.

“Hopefully she’ll be recovering,’ the previous president stated after mentioning he had gotten off the telephone with Melania who was at a Miami hospital with her sick mom.
“It’s a troublesome one, a really robust one,” Trump continued.

Similarly, Melania was absent from the household’s Christmas celebrations as she took care of her ailing mom.

“Melania has at all times been very dedicated to her whole household,” a source close to Melania Trump told Fox News Digital. “It must be no shock that she spent this Christmas with her ailing mom.”
