A former sub-postmistress who was wrongly jailed whereas she was pregnant has rejected an apology by a former Post Office boss who congratulated the workforce behind her conviction.
Seema Misra was eight weeks pregnant together with her second youngster when she was sentenced to 15 months in jail.
Misra stated that the then managing director of the Post Office, David Smith, ought to apologise to her son who was 10-years-old when she she was despatched to jail.
Mr Smith apologised to Mrs Misra on the inquiry into the Post Office scandal.
He stated that in hindsight, his electronic mail following her conviction was “poorly thought through”.
