Leading the battle cry for harder motion is former Conservative Party chief Sir Iain Duncan Smith – certainly one of the MPs who was focused by hackers. The Daily Express says he is calling for the UK to designate China as a “threat” as the United States has carried out. Sir Iain is a member of the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China, which scrutinises, and usually criticises, the actions of Beijing.
