A father has been found guilty of the homicide of his baby who died after suffering a broken neck throughout a sequence of horrific abuse.

Five-week-old baby Ollie Davies was found lifeless in his bed room in Leicester having suffered fractures to his cranium, collar bone, each arms and the joints of all his limbs.

At Leicester Crown Court on Thursday, his father Michael Davis was found guilty of homicide, after Ollie was found with greater than 20 broken ribs.

Jurors cleared Ollie’s mom, Kayleigh Driver, of homicide and inflicting grievous bodily hurt with intent, however the 29-year-old was found guilty of expenses of inflicting or permitting the demise of a toddler and inflicting or permitting a toddler to undergo critical bodily harm.

The jury was informed how the baby suffered his accidents within the 10 days as much as his demise on 21 October 2017.

After being found in his crib within the bed room he shared with Driver and Davis, he was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary the place medical workers have been unable to revive him.

Crown counsel Mr Jonas Hankin KC, prosecuting, informed jurors that Ollie died from the delayed results of a broken neck.

Before the trial, neither Driver, who was recognized with a number of sclerosis final 12 months, nor Davis had put ahead an account of an accident or accidents to clarify the accidents, Mr Hankin stated.

Davis, 29, and Driver, 31, each of Upper Temple Walk, had denied any wrongdoing, every claiming they didn’t trigger their son any bodily hurt.
