Former Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng has condemned comments from Frank Hester, the Tory get together’s largest donor, about MP Diane Abbott, who sits as an impartial.
Kwasi Kwarteng stated the reported remarks from 2019 had been “clearly racist, and clearly sexist” in addition to “very stupid” and “totally unacceptable”.
He added he had not heard what was stated, and there “may be a context” that was not broadly recognized.
Mr Hester has apologised for making “rude” comments in regards to the ex-shadow house secretary however added they “had nothing to do with her gender nor colour of skin”.
