Red Bull staff boss Christian Horner says it’s “time to draw a line under” the controversy over accusations about his behaviour in the direction of a feminine worker.

Red Bull has suspended the girl who accused Horner of inappropriate behaviour, which he has denied.

“An awful lot has been made out of this,” mentioned Horner.

“It is of great interest in different areas of the media for different reasons.”

Speaking on the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, he added: “The time now is to draw a line under it.”

Red Bull mentioned it “could not comment” on the explanations for the girl’s suspension.

BBC Sport has discovered that the rationale given by Red Bull to the worker was that she had been dishonest.

Horner emphasised that Red Bull’s board dismissed the criticism final week.

He mentioned: “The reality is that there was a grievance raised, it was dealt with in the most professional manner by the group, that appointed an independent KC, one of the most reputable in the land.

“He took time to examine all of the information. He checked out every thing and he got here to a conclusion the place he dismissed the grievance.

“As far as I’m concerned, as far as Red Bull is concerned, we move on.”

Red Bull has refused to title the lawyer concerned or give any perception into the report compiled, or clarify why the choice to dismiss the criticism was made.

Horner added: “I am fortunate I have a beautiful family and a very supportive wife. It has been very trying, and very challenging.

“My spouse has been massively supportive, as has my household, however the intrusion on my household is now sufficient, and we’d like to transfer ahead and give attention to what we’re right here for.

“It is time now to focus on why we are here which is to go Formula One racing.”

More to comply with.
