The BBC chef first publicly revealed he had the illness on the podcast he co-hosts alongside presenting associate King, titled Agony Uncles, in May 2022.

Myers later revealed that he misplaced his beard – and his iconic handlebar moustache – as a result of facet impacts of chemotherapy.
