Drax: UK power station burns wood from rare forests

The burning of wood from old-growth forests contradicts the corporate’s earlier claims. In a 2017 report about sustainability, Drax said it will not take wood from what it referred to as “no-go areas”. It stated: “We do not take from protected forests, old growth or primary forest, sites that have been classified as having a high biodiversity value.”
