A photograph of Prince William at the 2024 Baftas has gone viral thanks to the “alarmed” reactions of the group of actors he was talking to.

As the Oppenheimer workforce – director Nolan, star Cillian Murphy, and producers Emma Thomas and Charles Roven – took the stage to settle for the closing prize of the evening for Best Film, a social media prankster gatecrashed the second.

A Bafta spokesperson later advised The Independent in an announcement: “A social media prankster was removed by security last night after joining the winners of the final award on stage – we are taking this very seriously, and don’t wish to grant him any publicity by commenting further.”
