King Charles smiled and waved as he attended church with the Queen for the first time since the announcement of his cancer diagnosis.

Walking alongside Camilla and holding an umbrella, Charles arrived at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, Norfolk, on Sunday morning (11 February)

It comes after Buckingham Palace mentioned the King, who acceded to the throne 17 months in the past, has a “form of cancer”.

Charles has postponed all public-facing duties, however is continuous with behind-the-scenes work on his pink containers of state papers.

On Saturday the King thanked individuals for his or her “many messages of support and good wishes” and mentioned it was “equally heartening” to listen to how sharing his diagnosis has helped to advertise public understanding of cancer.
