A person believed to be armed with a crossbow has been shot dead by armed police in London.
Police had been referred to as simply earlier than 5am this morning after the person was trying to power his method into a property in Bywater Place, Southwark.
The man, considered in his 30s, was armed with weapons together with a crossbow and was threatening to hurt residents contained in the tackle, police say.
Police tried to talk to the person, however had been threatened so armed officers had been referred to as. The man managed to get into the property and police shot him.
Paramedics instantly offered first assist however the man died on the scene. Enquiries are ongoing to tell his subsequent of kin.
Two occupants acquired minor accidents throughout the incident.
Detective Chief Superintendent Seb Adjei-Addoh, liable for policing Southwark, mentioned: “My thoughts are with all those affected by this incident.
“I understand the local community will be concerned at the events that have taken place this morning. We will fully support the IOPC investigation into the full circumstances of what happened.”
