No deadline will likely be set to compensate victims of the Post Office Horizon scandal, the enterprise secretary has stated.

Kemi Badenoch stated setting a date to settle the circumstances was “not the priority”.

But she stated the federal government was shifting “as quickly as we can” to rewrite the wrongs of the IT fiasco.

Ms Badenoch told Sky’s Sunday Morning with Trevor Phillips the “issues” went “well beyond the Horizon scandal”.

Mr Staunton stepped down as chairman of the state-owned enterprise after only a 12 months within the job.

Ms Badenoch stated they’d “parted ways with mutual consent”, however later added that she had requested him to go.
