Japan’s Jaxa house company introduced on Thursday the success of its Slim Moon spacecraft in its unprecedented “pinpoint” touchdown inside 100m (328ft) of its meant goal on the lunar floor.
The probe, dubbed Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (Slim) touched down on the Moon on Saturday, making Japan the fifth nation to place a spacecraft on the moon.
However, the spacecraft seems to be dealing with technical issues unable to generate electrical energy on the lunar floor since its touchdown.
Jaxa mentioned Slim is dealing with the difficulty possible as a result of its photo voltaic panels are angled improper, however added a change within the daylight’s path might energy it up once more.
