A person has been charged with spiking a woman’s drink at a London club.

Vikas Nath, 61, was arrested at the non-public member’s club in Mayfair within the early hours of Tuesday.

Metropolitan Police officers have been referred to as to the venue by involved workers following studies somebody had tried to place a drug in a feminine visitor’s drink.

Nath, of Knightsbridge Road, was later charged beneath Section 61 of the Sexual Offences Act.

He appeared in custody at Westminster Magistrates Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody to subsequent seem at Southwark Crown Court on 14 February.
