The Post Office scandal, which noticed a whole bunch of harmless sub-postmasters wrongfully prosecuted as a result of a defective pc system made it appear to be cash was lacking, continues to dominate the papers. The Metro leads with the information that Paula Vennells, head of the Post Office between 2012 and 2019, has forfeited her CBE after an internet petition gained 1.2 million signatures. The paper says that, after a 25-year combat for justice and 5 years after leaving her job with a £5m payout, it appears Vennells “finally gets [the] message”.
